This is the place that all the students visit most of the time. SM mall which is in every major city in the country is a famous department store in the Philippines and "SM Mega Mall" is the biggest mall in Asia. SM mall in Cebu can provide all the necessities including movie theaters, fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and more. Students spend time there with their roommates or Filipino friends.
The movie theaters especially, have many spacious seats in front with modern sound equipment. Regular seats are P50, and Premium seats are P60 which is relatively cheaper than your country. So, even though you are not a fan of movies, you can be a "movie expert". And it's helpful to study English too because there are no subtitles. It takes about 7 mins. by taxi from CPILS to SM mall and costs about P35. |

SM and Ayala are very similar in their services. Ayala is also in every major city in the Philippines with similar size and facilities. Actually, SM and Ayala are always competing.
In the Philippines, a department store is not just a place to buy and sell stuff but you can also spend a day with fun and joy. Ayala also has movie theaters, restaurants, book stores, game rooms and a park. If you think that the Philippines is rather underdeveloped, you will change your mind after visiting the mall. After spending time at the mall shopping, you can enjoy the clear blue sky at the nearby park.
