Qualification to be accepted in CPILS |
|

Registration
After filling out the application form, send it to CPILS or to the agency with US$50 application fee. Or you can fax or mail the application and waive the registration fee through a bank. Internet on-line can be also used. We recommend early registration because it's usually filled up quickly. If you register 7 days possible to be 1st day of your class, it's only possible to be a CPILS student when the class is not full. |

Confirming your Application and Paying Tuition
After receiving the application and the fee, the form will be sent and the process begins. |

You should pay your tuition and accommodation before your arrival in CPILS pr before the course starts. |
|
Starting the course
You have to arrive in CPILS at least 1 day before of your 1st class days. And the minimum registration is 8 weeks.
Especially, students can learn correct pronunciation from our native teachers who have TESOL certificates and degrees. |

Attending classes
When a student is absent or late for a class twice, he/she will get a written warning with an assignment. When the assignment is done, the warning will be erased.
When a student is absent or late for a class three times, he/she will get a written warning and there will be another assignment. When the assignment is done, the warning will be erased.
When a student is absent or late more than 4 times, CPILS will expel the student. |

Notice
When a student is expelled or asks for a refund, CPILS will let the agency and the student's home know the matter. |
|
|
Warning
Students cannot ask for a refund when they get a warning. All other matters will be based on CPILS regulation. |

Application and General Rules |
|
|
Application
After filing out the application form, send it to CPILS or to the agency with US$50 application fee.
The amount is not refundable.
Please apply at least 6 weeks before your intended date of departure. |

Confirming Your Application and Paying Your Tuition
A week after CPILS receives your application and the application fee, we will send you a letter confirming your acceptance to school. |
|
You should pay your tuition to the agency two weeks before the first day of class. |
|
Airport Service
A representative from CPILS will meet you at the airport and bring you the institute.
You have to let us know at least one week before when you will be arriving. |
|
|
Refund Policy
If you want to cancel your application, you have to write a letter to the institute informing us of the reasons before the first day of class. We cannot refund your application fee.
When you cancel your application at least 21 days before your departure, you can get a full refund of all the tuition and accommodation fees that you have paid.
When you cancel your application between 3 to 14 days before your departure, you can get a full refund of your tuition but two weeks of accommodation fee will not be refunded. |

When you have arrived at CPILS, if you are expelled from the institute or you want to cancel the rest of your classes, you have to write a letter to CPILS giving a valid reason in order to get a refund.
If you cancel while you are already taking up classes at CPILS, these are the refund rates:
If you have attended 25% or less of your scheduled classes - 50% of tuition and accommodation will be refunded.
If you have attended more than 25% of your scheduled classes - there will be no refund given on the tuition and accommodation.
If at any time during your stay at CPILS, you or any member of your family gets sick and you have to cancel the rest of your classes, you can get a refund of 50% of the cost of your remaining classes.
In order to avail of the refund in this case, we need a medical certificate coming from your doctor.
At any time during your classes you get a warning, this is not a valid reason for requesting a refund.
All refunds will be given within 30 days by CPILS. |

Delayed Arrival or No Show
If you come later than the expected date of arrival, there is no refund or make up classes.
If you come one week after your expected date of arrival, 2 weeks of tuition and accommodation fees will be deducted.
If you do not attend your class at all, there is no refund. |
|
Extending
If you wish to extend your stay, it is possible as long as you inform the Guidance Counselor at least 4 weeks before your last day of class unless you will have different class schedule and instructor.
You have to pay the Agency tuition and accommodation fees at least 2 weeks before your last day of class. |
|
Extra Service
You have to [ay an additional fee for institute trips, medical expenses, weekend activities, phone bills, and room changes. |
|
Special Circumstances
In cases of business strike, delayed flights, natural calamities like typhoons,
earthquakes etc and other circumstances beyond our control, it is understood that CPILS or the Agency does not have any responsibility.
CPILS will not be liable for any loss of life, money or property during unauthorized field trips.
In upon arrival, you score too low or too high during the entrance level test, CPILS has the right to recommend you to take up another curriculum or to give you special classes with a different schedule. |

Holidays
During official Philippine Holidays, there will be no classes and some facilities will not be available for use.
There is no refund for classes not held during the holidays. |
|
Changes of Fees Charged
CPILS reserves the right to change the fees it charges at any time because of changes in the exchange rate, tax increases or government regulation changes. |
|
|
Program Change
CPILS has the right to change the program, curriculum and the first day of class at any time whenever necessary. |
|
Certificates
When students attend more than 90% of classes. They will get certificates from CPILS. When students attend less than 90% of classes, there will be no certificate from CPILS. |
|

Dormitory Rules |
|
|
General Information
Students cannot visit other student's room no matter what the reason is (gender doesn't matter). When you break this rule, CPILS can dismiss you without a warning and there will be no refund at all.
All guests should meet you at the lobby and you cannot let them in whether in the swimming pool area or any of the rooms. Guest's visiting hours are only from 8:00AM to 5:00PM everyday. |

Why does CPILS have such strict rules of visiting?
a. to prevent disturbing students who are sleeping and resting;
b. to prevent all kinds of crime (stealing, etc.);
c. to prevent disturbing other students who are studying;
d. to prevent embarrassing sexual scandals;
e. to prevent discomfort of roommates with visitors. |

Curfew
Sundays thru Thursdays - 12:00 PM
Fridays and Saturdays - 02:00 AM |

Bringing any kind of alcoholic beverages inside CPILS is strongly prohibited. However, you can drink alcoholic beverages but only at the CPILS Snack Bar.
When you drink alcoholic beverages in the room, CPILS has the right to give you a warning or even a dismissal from the school and there will be no refund at all. If after drinking too much, you cause a public disturbance such as fighting, yelling, hitting or bothering other students, you will be dismissed from CPILS without any warning. |

Smoking policy
We recommend that you smoke only in the smoking area near the swimming pool so that you will not cause fire and we can keep the institute clean. If you smoke inside your rooms, you have to pay the cleaning fee of PPHP500/room.
Using candles, electric coffee pots, stoves, matches and other kinds of electric devices that may cause fires are strictly prohibited. |

Quiet hours are everyday from 10:00PM to 6:00AM the next morning. Please be quiet for other students. |
|
When students have problems regarding dismissal, refund or any other matters, CPILS will inform the student's home and their country's agents the true facts about the problems. |
|
|
Keys When you lose your keys and duplicate it without informing the office, you will be charged PHP1,000 (US$20). |
|
Room cleaning will be done once a week and your bed sheets will be changed once every two weeks.
If you want to change your sheets earlier you have to pay 100 Philippine Pesos which is about US$2. |
|
|
If you want to change your room, we cannot change your room right away. There will be no extra cost but you have to stay at least 4 weeks in one room.
If you have any problems regarding the dormitory facilities, you may talk to the Guidance Counselor.
Sometimes even though you have chosen a two person or three person room, you may not have a roommate. |
