안녕하세요^^ CPILS 세부 김성진주임입니다. 
 
모르긴 몰라도 전체 연수생의 70%이상은 물갈이를 한번씩은 경험해보셨을거라 생각합니다. 처음에 도착하셔서 바로 시작(?)하시는 분들도 계시고 늦게 경험하시는 분들도 계시지만 대부분의 학생분들이 연수 1-2주안에 물갈이를 경험하고 계십니다.
물갈이란 설사와 미열을 동반한 증상에 심하면 구토증상까지 올 수도 있는 것으로 방심했다간 수업시간에 자주 화장실을 들락날락거려
본인은 물론 클래스메이트분들에게도 수업에 지장을 초래할 수 있는 무서운(?)증상입니다. 물론 본인이 느끼는 정신적, 육체적 스트레스는 이루 말할것이 없겠죠,,,이곳 세부에서의 물갈이는 여러분들이 한국에 계시면서 본인이 살고 있는 지역 외 다른 지역 및 지방에 가셨을때 경험하시는 것과 크게 다르지 않습니다. 고로 물갈이의 공격에서 선방 할 수 있는 방법을 몇가지 알려드릴까 합니다.
 
1. 길거리 음식을 초반에는 절제한다.
--> 이곳 세부에 오시게 되면 많은 길거리 음식을 접하게 되십니다...상당히 뿌리치기 힘든 유혹들이죠,,그 중 제일이랄것이 바베큐입니다. 대표적인 곳이 일명'라르시안'이라는 불리는 바베큐 시장입니다. 라르시안은 한국의 야시장과 흡사한 분위기의 바베큐 종합상가로 닭과 돼지등의 육류의 여러 신체 부위를 아주 저렴하고 맛있게 구워 파는 곳입니다. 저도 즐겨찾는곳인 이곳은 처음 세부에 도착한 학생여러분들은 약간 자제해주셨으면 합니다. 특별히 비위생적이거나 하지는 않지만 길거리 바베큐가 물갈이의 원인중에 하나가 될 수 도 있으니까요.
 
2. 위생적인 물을 먹는다.
--> 이곳 세부의 레스토랑에서 물은 기본적으로 제공되지 않습니다. 그렇기 때문에 물을 따로 주문하시기 전엔 물을 주지 않는데 물이 필요하신경우 반드시 따로 '미네랄 워터'를 주문하셔야 합니다. 가끔 몰상식한 식당에선 수돗물을 그냥 떠다 주기도 하기 때문에 반드시 미네랄 워터를 시켜드시길 바라며 연수 초반에 학생분들은 어느정도 시간이 지날때까지 CPILS 학원안에 곳곳에 비치된 정수기를 이용하시거나 저희 식당에서 제공하고 있는 끓인 옥수수차를 드시기를 권해드립니다.
 
3. 냉방병
--> 이것은 물갈이와 직접적인 상관관계는 없겠지만 물갈이에 지친 몸에 한번 더 고통을 줄 수 있는 부분입니다. 한국과 다르게 일년이 여름인 이곳 필리핀은 어디를 가나 쉽게 에어컨이 가동되고 있는 것을 보실 수 있으십니다. 특히 기숙사 안에서 주무시면서 틀어놓는 에어컨은 물갈이로 인한 배앓이에 더한 고통을 줄 수 도 있기 때문에 반드시 주무시기 전엔 타이머를 맞춰놓고 외부와 온도차가 많이 나지 않게 하시는게 좋습니다.
 
자 여기까지 연수초반의 복병 '물갈이'에 대응하는 방법을 간단히 말씀드렸습니다. 하지만 물갈이는 몸의 자연적인 생리 반응현상으로 크게 걱정하실 필요는 없으십니다. 짧으면 하루에서 길어야 3-4일정도 지속되다가 언제그랬냐는 듯 그치곤 합니다. 하지만 학생 여러분들의 초반의 영어완전정복의 굳은 마음가짐에 조금이라도 거추장스러울 수도 있는 이 물갈이란 놈을 미리 알고 조심하신다면 영어완전정복의 목표에 한걸음 더 먼저 다가갈 수 있겠죠?^^ 여러분들의 성공적인 연수를 기원합니다. 세부에서 김성진주임이었습니다^^
